Just like all other FG Competition models the FG Formula 1 Competition is one of the most successful models of the past years. An important innovation is the FG gearwheel drive which is extremely smooth-running and cares for more power reserves. Surely FG Modellsport has created a competitive model for the next years with this 09 version which will seamlessly follow up on the past successes.



Equipment of the FG Formula 1 Competition 09 kit:

CNC-cut 8mm alloy chassis with lateral carbon fiber inserts, 26ccm Zenoah engine, inlet silencer, Tuning pipe, viscous locking differential, FG gearwheel drive, ball drive, complete rear and front axle carrier unit with integrated engine quick-fixing device, double alloy wishbone fastenings, lower alloy delta wishbones at front and rear axle, front and rear alloy uprights, ball-bearing servo saver, steering stops, pushrods, 4 oil-pressure shock absorbers with alloy damper pistons, front and rear hydr. disk brakes, stabilizer for front and rear axle, 10mm alloy balls, carbon fiber rear spoiler, polycarbonate bodyshell, polyamide front spoiler, receiver box, competition tires with tire inserts.

We deliver the model as a kit including mounting instruction. The body parts are made of clear polycarbonate for your own design. FG stickers and writings are enclosed.

For the final assembly of the model you need further: radio control system (transmitter, receiver), 2 steering servos (each approx. 15-20 kg), 1 servo for throttle/rear brake, 1 servo for front brake (approx. 15 kg), batteries and charger.



Technical description of the FG Formula 1 Competition 09 kit:

The undercarriage of the FG Formula 1 Competition 09 is built on an 8mm alloy chassis. Chassis cutouts and the lateral carbon fiber parts cause a weight reduction. All screws at the bottom of the chassis are countersunk.

Front and rear axle mounts as well as the engine unit are connected over the complete length of the chassis, therefore we achieved almost the stiffness of a monocoque chassis. The quick fix system of the engine makes a fast changing of the engine possible. The drive to the rear axle is carried out over several easy-running front gearwheels and an FG ball drive at the rear axle. A separate flange bearing holds the clutch bell in order to relieve the crankshaft. Front and rear axle with their various adjusting possibilities as king pin angle, castor aso. consist of alloy delta wishbones below. Solid alloy rear axle plates reduce the wear at the rear axle and give an enormous driving stability. The rear axle is equipped with the FG viscous locking differential. 4 oil-pressure shock absorbers controlled by a pushrod suspension as well as stabilizers guarantee an optimal ground contact.

We deliver the chassis with hydraulic brakes for front or respectively rear axle. The bodyshell is made of clear polycarbonate, the rear spoiler of carbon fibre and the front spoiler of impact resistant polyamide. The tires are already glued.

The model is powered by a high-capacity 26ccm Zenoah engine with airbox and Tuning pipe.
